Bled & Bohinj - full day excursion
This beautiful lakes, Bled and Bohinj, are located in the foothills of the Julian Alps and just a couple of hours of outside of Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana. These lakes are among the best places for relaxation in Europe. Lake Bohinj is simply the real deal and once you embrace its shores at Ribcev Laz, you begin to see why. This brooding, eerily calm and silent body of water is a nature lovers paradise. Enjoy the beauty of Lake Bled, then come to Bohinj to become one with nature.
ITINERARY:
In the morning an air-conditioned minivan will pick you up at the main meeting point in Zagreb and drive you in the direction of Ljubljana and further to Lake Bled, the pearl of the Slovenian Alps, surrounded by high mountain peaks and summits. In the middle of the lake is the island where is situated the Church of St. Mary.
Arriving at Bled free time for lunch, a walk along the lake, or ride to the Bled island by boat – pletna. You can ring the bell for the happiness and the fulfillment of desires. You must visit Bled fortress because it offers a magical view of the lake and its surroundings and taste excellent wines in their winery.
In the afternoon drive to picturesque landscapes to Lake Bohinj and Ribcevog Laza. Here you can walk to the confluence of Sava Bohinka in the lake and the stone bridge and Church of St. John the Baptist. Leisure time to buy the famous Bohinj cheese and alpine souvenirs. Panoramic drive along the lake to the hotel Zlatorog, free time for a walk. Departure from the Bohinj lake by arrangement. Arrival to Zagreb in the evening.
